English as a Second Language for Adult Learners
Welcome to the Bayonne Adult
English as a Second Language Program!
The 2025 School Year has ended. Classes will start up again in October.
We will post information to register at the end of August.
About the Bayonne English as a Second Language Program
The classes are open to anyone in the Bayonne area seeking to learn or improve their English skills. Each class is run by a volunteer teacher, and focuses on life-skill communications. For example, talking to your children’s teachers, understanding your neighbors and being able to shop, visit the doctor and help your children in school. We offer a fun, informal and supportive environment for adults of all ages.
Cost, location and class times may change this year. We will post updates on the website when details are finalized.

IN MEMORIAM
In 2004, Sister Kay Coll, a Sister with the order of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Chestnut Hill, PA, saw a need in Bayonne for an Adult English as a Second Language program, and embarked on this initiative. Our guiding light and our founder, she passed from this life in February of 2024. She remains our inspiration and our heart.
